Tala High School is one with the aims of the LRMDS in providing quality assured learning resource materials for both the learners and teachers. We have been committed in materializing the School-Based LRMDS by having its Learning Resource (LR) Committee, LR Personnel and Database and LR Quality Assurance Team.  After having the LR Committee, we discussed and identified the LR Needs of the school to identify the areas where needed to be focused on. We responded to the needs by providing a laptop and LR corner to the LRMDS team. The Tala High School’s LRMDS team is more than ready and equipped with the needed materials for the implementation of School-Based LRMDS.

           Aside from identifying the needs and assigning the LR Committee, thorough Division Seminar-Workshops were also given to the concerned people. Last April, the LR Coordinator, the IT Coordinator and the librarian attended a seminar-workshop on Quality Assurance. This aimed to give specific criteria in evaluating the teacher-made LRMs. This gave broader understanding of the real essence of LRMDS which solicited support from the concerned people. After re-echoing it to them, LR committee member per department had also disseminated the LR information to the chosen QA team per department. Each department has the QA team for the evaluation of new non-print materials, new print materials and charts, posters, drills and manipulatives. This gave them more knowledge on how to evaluate and assess the LRMs objectively. Also, teachers were asked to register on LRMDS portal so that they could utilize the posted LRMs for the benefit of their learners. Another accomplishment of the LRMDS team was the School-Based portal which can be seen at nepocorei7official.wixsite/talahighschool with its Online Public Access Cataloguing (OPAC) made by the THS librarian

               This school year is a good start for the LRMDS. However, it does not end here because there are still things that need to be done for the succeeding years. The Tala High School’s LRMDS team and its administration will work hand in hand to better serve the number one client of the institution, the TALANIAN LEARNERS.
