CHAMPION
Brigada Eskwela 2019
MEGA SCHOOL Category
Brigada Eskwela signals the start of a new school year. During this time, everyone seem to become dedicated to making their school better than it has ever been.

This year, it is guided by the theme, "Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas, at Matatag na Paaralan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan."

It was beautiful and inspiring to see that the community has extended their helping hand to the Talanian family more this year. From little children to known professionals, the wave of generosity crashed Tala High School.

Moreover, this year seems to be the most productive as there have been a lot of seminars and talks on very useful matters. Issues on security, health and hygiene, and so as livelihood were addressed with the help of those who are experts in the field. Beyond cleaning and numerous construction and improvement, there is something bigger and greater that Tala High School has successfully achieved this year.
It is a culture of discipline.
For some, a competition is a motivation for the whole school to do extra work in making their school clean and organized.
For Tala High School, keeping the school as clean and organized as possible is an automatic thing. No competition required. Teachers are accustomed to making sure the surroundings are clean before class. Students are accustomed to keeping their trash in their bags, segregating garbage, and keeping their areas clean at all times.
Tala High School principal, Dr. Marissa B. Feliciano said, "If we do not win in the search for Brigada Eskwela, that is fine. What's important is we did everything we could to provide a safe and ready school for our students."
So, if Tala High School is ready for the opening of the school year...

It is not just Brigada.
It is the Talanian Culture.

Of Unity and Brotherhood
When a community works as one, it's nothing short of extraordinary.

Tala High School has always been considered a haven of learning and discipline. The mantra "Making THS shine brighter than before" strengthens as the years pass.

This year, Caloocan City Mayor Oscar "Oca" Malapitan has once again challenged public schools in his town to better themselves.
PROJECT OSCAR (Search for Outstanding School in Cleanliness, Agriculture and Re-cycling) aims to promote cleanliness and care for nature through inviting schools to make their schools cleaner and greener.
Despite the fact that this is a competition, Tala HIgh School principal, Dr. Marissa B. Feliciano, did not give emphasis on winning. She gave emphasis on making the school better, not for the competition, but for the students.

Truth to be told, times like this bring out the best in an organization. During the preparation for PROJECT OSCAR, the Talanian community showed unity in its truest sense. Throughout the activity, the administration, faculty, and the rest of the community can be seen working hand in hand.
regardless of what happens in the competition, Tala High School already is considered a winner. We have a cleaner and greener school. We have the whole community working as one.
Winning this is a bonus. Overall, there's nothing more we can ask for.
